Set in the beautiful green countryside of the South East, Carlow
Golf Club is a 27-hole parkland course laid out in a former wild
deer park attached to the old Bruen Estate. The course has a sandy
sub-soil which is links like with undulating terrain, numerous
elevated tees, several excellent dog legs and small slick putting
surfaces. Carlow is playable twelve months of the year and a
plugged ball is almost unheard of. It's qualities are further
enhanced by the water hazards at the 1st, 2nd, 10th and 11th
holes. The new 9-hole Oak Park golf course at Carlow Golf Club is
a truly terrific layout designed by the renowned architect, Jeff
Howes. Situated on rolling terrain, this par 35-course provides a

"Played into a goal instead of a hole"
GolfCrossฎ is golf with goals instead of holes and it's played
with an oval GolfCross ball instead of a round one. You use the
same rules as golf (with a few exceptions and additions) and the
same clubs, though a putter is not required. Essentially you're
still playing golf, it's simply that the target is now suspended
in mid-air and every shot is pretty much going where you want it
to. The goals, which you are targeting, are positioned in an area
fairly similar in size and style to golf greens, which are called
Yards.
Leinster Hills is Ireland's 1st GolfCross Course, which has
instantly become its most prestigious and longest course in the
world. If there is a course that will host the up and coming 'GolfCross
World Championship' then this is it.

Situated 12 km east of Carlow town, Mount Wolseley is set in
opulent surroundings and boasts an 18-hole championship golf
course. According to Christy O'Connor Junior, course designer, "
Rarely after a first look around a potential site for a golf
course had I been so impressed as at Mount Wolseley. What we have
here is a fair but testing 18 holes of championship golf, none of
which will disappoint even the most discerning player". This par
72-course provides a challenge to every ability as each hole
presents demanding approach shots, with wide landing areas being
the only concession. With its broad fairways, unforgiving rough
and picturesque water hazards, Mount Wolseley has justifiably
played host to a number of national and international golf
competitions.
The Mount Wolseley Hilton International is located on the grounds
of the eighteenth century ancestral home of Frederick York
Wolseley, whose family became synonymous with the automotive
industry. This charming resort offers an eclectic blend of
contemporary design and lavish detail surrounded by 200 acres of
peaceful landscape. Featuring 142 bedrooms including a Superior
Suite, Master Suite, "O" Connor Suite and 8 Executive Suites each
